I really like this piece but I think the outlining of the whole images takes away and flattens it. One thing about three dimensional imagery, when you outline it you get a flatness. So if you were to remove some of the black outline in this piece, for instance the thumb and palm of the hand. Or line it with a lighter color or ink wash. Also you could do a blood line.
